Name: Trojan Man

Week 1 was very atypical for the Trojans. I usually score 200+ points. SInce I scored 80 this week, that must mean that I will only score about 40 points per week for the rest of the season.

It may look like the Trojans are the weakest team in the EFFL. But I must remind you that looks can be deceiving. It is not my team that is sucking it up, it is my picking starters. For once in my EFFL career, my bench players are scoring points, so I need to start picking the right starters. This is especially noted at the QB position. I've missed out on over 100 points so far this young season by picking the wrong QB. I am also in the market for a WR if anyone has an extra they want to trade.

trav,

i would like to point out that everyone has people that score points who they do not play. it happens, and not just to you. for example, if i started the right running back this week, i would have won. that is just how it is. your theory that you only suck because you play the wrong people is weak. chances are, your opponent played the wrong people too.

I realize what you said about everyone picks the wrong guys. All I was saying is that usually my team has only a couple good players and it is a no-brainer who to start because my bench is worthless. I was just commenting that I'm happy to have some bench scoring. Only because it is a rarity for me, I'm not used to dealing with the headache trying to choose the right players every week.

For example, my RB's are an obvious choice... Green & Lewis. Suggs is hurt (not for long) and Bell is a backup (also not for long, sorry Geoff). So obviously I start Green & Lewis. But my QB's & WR's are a different story. Last year I had Peyton Manning and the 1 week I benced him he would've scored 145 points. This year, all three of my QB's have a 2 TD game and a 0 TD game. One of them will probably play well, its just hard trying to figure out which one will. It seemed like a good strategy during the draft. But my draft strategies are a whole different ballgame that I don't want to discuss now. Marc can assure you that there wasn't much strategy going on for me between keeping track of everyone's picks, calling Brian on the phone to fill him in, feeding Paige & myself some spaghetti, letting Paige draw on my draft sheet and magazine, etc.

mr commissioner,

i have once again decided that you are corrupt. furthermore, i once again propose that we offer our league's commissionership to mr. ralph myers.

ps-

you watch griffin run all over the chargers this weekend and then talk to me about tatum bell.

Name: love

see, griffin had like 4 yards. nobody takes a job away from a guy that runs for 4 yards.

Yes, Griffin played about as well as Vick. I agree that Ralph Myers should commish this league. If he was interested, I would hand it over in a second. He proved his worth during our short-lived whiffle ball league. Anyone else would not be worthy to run the league. PS... They don't get much more corrupt that I do.

Sorry Nick, but the Bears aren't even as good as the Lions. Urlacher was helped by an illegal block to the back on his TD against Green Bay (which went uncalled) or that game may not have turned out how it did.

There is only one thing more astounding than Javon Walker's breakout performance last week, and that is to see Nick in 1st place in the Urban. It's been a while since he's been there. I think I'll do a stat of the week on the issue. Oh, and I also want to add my own personal disgust in my continued disablitity to start the right QB. I realize that I am not alone - Brad is having some difficulty in the same area. Vick vs. Green? At least your tight end position is firmly entrenched in Matt Schoebel's capable hands.

Yeah it's been a while since I've been in first place. Nonetheless I am in first, unlike yourself. I can't help your quarterbacks are incapable of having a good game. We'll just see who wins the next go round, I'm up one to nothing.

this thing where donger is in first place is just not cool. it makes me want to harm myself.

Is it that bad being behind me? There is no need to maim or mutilate yourself, I can do it for you, lol.

Geoff, if you are risk to yourself or others, I will have to involuntarily hospitalize you on a psych ward. They don't take people away in a straight jacket anymore, but for you they can make an exception.
